Email Setup & Access

The following will provide guides on accessing e-mail through various methods.

Online Access:

The easiest and most convienent method is to access e-mail online, this access will worth for both mobile and computer access.  recommended browser is either Chrome or Firefox.

You will be prompted to enter your username at PortalGuard which will be your full Butte College email, and current password.

Outlook in Office 365:

Outlook is avaiable on all issued Faculty and Staff computers with Office 365 both for PC and Mac computers.

Students also will have access to this but will need to download and install Microsoft Office which can be found here.

Email Access On Other Computer Apps:

Your Butte College E-mail can be accessed from other applications such as Windows Mail or MacMail, however these are not officially supported and support will be limited.

E-mail Access On Mobile:

By downloading the Outlook app this will give e-mail access across various mobile devices. Because mobile devices are personal devices support from Butte IT will be limited.
