关闭字幕

  1. 现有的材料:
    1. Check to see if your materials already have captions, and that the captions are accurate.
      1. Commercially purchased video materials generally are already close captioned. If the instructions in these webpages for your video format do not work, contact the publisher/provider of the video for technical support.
        1. DVDs and VHS: check the “Setup” area of the menu to turn on captions. NOTE: You cannot take VHS video and transfer it to DVD without the permission of the copyright holder. You can go from VHS to VHS to add captions, 或DVD转DVD或Mp4转Mp4, but you CANNOT change mediums without permission. Therefore it is sometimes easier to just replace your older, uncaptioned item by purchasing or renting the captioned version in the format that you need.
        2. 网飞公司:试试这个 资源 , or search the 网飞公司 Help Center using the term “closed caption” for the latest information.
      2. YouTube videos uploaded by someone else: there is often a “cc” button at the bottom right of the YouTube screen. Click it and watch AT LEAST five minutes of the captions (the first two minutes tend to be pretty accurate, but often the captions go wildly off course after two minutes). If the captions are accurate so far, we STRONGLY recommend that you continue viewing the entirety of the clip that you plan to use BEFORE showing the video to your students (the YouTube auto-captioning tool has some significant flaws).
      3. YouTube videos that you uploaded yourself: if you enable contributions from users, you may have gotten lucky and had some kind person contribute captions for you. Check these for accuracy and edit as needed (see the video tutorial for adding closed captions 如果你需要帮助).
      4. Self-produced video materials (for example, recordings of your own lectures): Material produced by Butte College is automatically closed captioned. If you have produced the material independently from the college, contact User Support Services for assistance having it captioned.
      5. Pirated/illegal copies: Really?!?! You’re using these as course materials?!?! 坏老师! Go find a legal copy and confirm that it has existing closed captions before purchasing if possible. Then follow the appropriate instructions elsewhere in this section.
    2. If your materials are not captioned, or are not accurately captioned, here are some options:
      1. Commercially purchased video: If the instructions in A.1.a for your video format do not work, contact the publisher/distributor of the video for technical support. If your item is older, it may not have been captioned.
      2. YouTube video uploaded by someone else: If the captions show some inaccuracies or if captions do not exist, you may be able to use the YouTube tool to caption it yourself using this Tutorial for contributing closed captions to YouTube video. If the owner of the video has not made the video available for contributing captions, you could try contacting him/her and requesting access.
      3. YouTube videos that you uploaded yourself: see YouTube help on closed captioning for online instructions on how to use the YouTube captioning tool to add closed captions to your video. YouTube也有自己的网站 video tutorial for adding closed captions to videos也一样. Or try googling “closed caption YouTube” for updated information.
      4. Self-produced video materials (for example, recordings of your own lectures): contact User Support Service to request assistance obtaining closed captioning AS SOON AS POSSIBLE: it may take several weeks to get this work done by the available sources.
  1. 联系 User Support Services for technical assistance with creating captions. If possible, contact User Support BEFORE beginning your self-developed project.
  1. Commercially produced video (DVDs, 网飞公司, video files, etc.): Commercially purchased video materials generally are already close captioned. When reviewing materials for purchase, confirm with the seller/publisher that the material already has captions before purchasing.
  2. YouTube video: When searching YouTube for videos, pull down the “Filters” option for search materials, and check the “Subtitles/CC” selection under the heading “Features” to return only results with existing closed captions. 观看视频时, click the cc button in the right bottom corner and check the ACCURACY of the captions for the entire clip you plan to use BEFORE showing your students the video. If the captions are not accurate, look in "working with existing video material" above, section 2.b.
